A MESSAGE FROM TONY STEVEN, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER OF COSBOA
The Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia Ltd. (COSBOA) welcomes International Business & Introduction Brokers (INBIB) as a member organisation. COSBOA is widely recognised as the peak body for small business organisations, industry groups and individual firms in Australia. We believe that INBIB’s association with COSBOA will provide a major stepping stone for Australian Migration Agents and other industry partners and stakeholders seeking to increases the political contribution to Government.
We are aware that INBIB’S prime mission objectives are to provide value added networking opportunities for professionals involved in the immigration, business brokerage, real estate, recruitment and other affiliated industries. As an industry organisation that is linked to COSBOA, INBIB members will have opportunities to become prolific players in regards to creating business synergies both in Australia and Overseas.
COSBOA is an organisation of organisations and provides a voice to Government on many issues affecting small business. COSBOA can directly reach around 77,000 businesses who are members of member associations; our claim to uniqueness is that we are purely small business. We provide unique and valuable points of view which are submitted to the Government of the day.
Small business is about personal endeavour, often against substantial odds. We are not looking for Governments to put us on a life support system; we are not looking for handouts, although we all recognise that Governments do get a great dividend from any dollar spent nurturing the soil in which small business grows.
COSBOA aims to draw together all the common threads within small business to ensure that the 1.3 million or so small businesses in Australia (including self employed people) get a fair go. We are not asking for any more than that, but we do believe that we have the right to a level playing field therefore COSBOA will continue to fight for a fair business environment for our members.
Tony Steven
